From the beginning, our vision has never been about chasing trends or cutting corners. Instead, we’ve asked ourselves a simpler, more enduring question: what do women really want from their clothes? The answer is clear - comfort, confidence and longevity. Pieces that don’t just look beautiful but feel good to wear, and that stand the test of time. 

Creating clothing that truly embodies those principles is not the easiest path. It takes patience, thought and a commitment to doing things the right way - even when that path is slower, more complex or more costly. 

Since day one, we’ve kept our production close to our home in Sussex, England by building valued partnerships with three family run factories in North London. This matters deeply to us, because it means we know the people behind each garment - their skill, their care and the pride they pour into their craft. By keeping production local, we ensure fair wages, safe working conditions and can celebrate the incredible craftsmanship that exists right here in the UK. 

Yes, many have told us it would be cheaper - and easier - to move production overseas. But cheaper and easier have never been our goals. Staying local keeps our standards high and nurtures our close connection to every step of the process.

The same care goes into our choice of fabrics. We partner only with mills that hold respected sustainability certifications like OEKO-TEX and GOTS, sourcing fabrics made from organic or recycled fibres. You can feel the difference immediately - they are soft yet resilient, a joy to wear and built to last. Most of our pieces are double-layered, a deliberate design choice that brings comfort and coverage, so that every item feels as good as it looks.

For us, design always begins with you, and the conversations we’ve had about how clothing can frustrate - whether it shifts, clings or doesn’t fit quite right. We’ve listened and we’ve designed with purpose. Each piece is reworked and refined until it meets our promise of uncompromising design: balancing beauty with practicality, elegance with ease. Nothing leaves our studio until it passes this test, ensuring that when you wear AYM, you feel both effortless and supported.

In a world where fashion has often been treated as disposable, we choose another way.
