European Shipping Updates

Following Brexit, customs and duty charges have been applied by European and UK Governments to goods going between the UK and Europe. These charges will vary depending on the country you live in and the value of goods.

As these are now a legal requirement they must be applied to orders passing between the UK and Europe. This is unfortunately out of our hands and we are unable to avoid these charges being applicable.

We want to continue to serve our European customers and we are working hard to find a solution that will make this experience easier for you. However due to the multitude of challenges faced by trade processes between the UK and Europe the order system for our European customers is not yet where we want it to be.

We are working with our shipping providers to achieve a smoother order fulfilment process between the UK and European countries and will implement updates as soon as we can.

How does this impact your order?

  • At present, customs taxes and VAT charges will be applied to parcels on delivery.
  • These fees will be collected by the courier before the parcel is released to you.
  • You will receive a notification via email or text from UPS to notify you of the charges that are due and how to pay these.
  • Once the charges have been paid, the order will then be delivered to you.

How much will I be charged?

Total to pay = order price + customs + VAT %

We would advise that you contact your local / National customs authorities to understand what the customs charges are likely to be. Customs will be applicable dependant on each countries individual customs threshold and % tax.

Find your local tax authority here: European Tax Authorities

The VAT % due can be calculated based on the below table. Please be aware that there will be a customs tax % applicable in addition to this VAT charge.

What about the VAT due?

EU Country VAT information 2021 - According to EU law, EU Member States are required to levy a standard VAT rate of at least 15 percent and a reduced rate of at least 5 percent. The average VAT rate of the European countries covered is 21.3 percent.

The below table shows a break down of the VAT applicable on deliveries to European countries based on the countries national VAT rates. These charges will most likely be collected at delivery by the courier on behalf of your national tax service.
