In regards to the GDPR updates we have highlighted in green the updates that we have made to our Privacy Policy below.

PRIVACY POLICY UPDATE ON WEBSITE

We are updating our Privacy Policy to be in line with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that is coming in to effect on the 25th May 2018.

To keep things as transparent as possible we have summarised the key points below. Any other updates have been added to our Privacy Policy, so we advise that you read through our Privacy Policy before placing an order, using our website or submitting any personal information to Amack Group Ltd. or one of our brands; Boom Boom the Label, AYM or Silhou.

What data do we collect from you?

So that we are able to process your orders we ask for your name, telephone number, postal address and email address. In order to process payments we also ask for payment method details, including your billing address. If you are entering competitions or giveaways we will also ask you for your name, email address and postal address so that we can ship your prize to you. In order to sign up for marketing material, including our email newsletter, we will ask you for your name and email address and we will ask you to opt-in by selecting a ‘Sign Up’ button. We may obtain information about your use of our website to help us develop and improve it through online surveys and other feedback requests.

What will your data be used for?

Your data allows us, and our processors, to complete your order. It also allows us to contact you in relation to any updates or issues relating to your order, such as shipping status. Following your order we will use your email address to contact you for feedback relating to your recent order and your experience with the brand. This feedback allows us to improve the experience, including website adjustments and product developments.  

If you are already opted in to our mailing list, we will send you information regarding products and services, including promotions and special offers from Boom Boom the Label and AYM brands. If you want to opt-in to our mailing list, you must sign up to this via the sign up form on our website. By signing up to our mailing list you give your consent for us to contact you directly regarding our brand, products, services and offers.

If you do not wish to be contacted for these purposes, we offer a few ways that you can unsubscribe from our mailing list:

  • All of our mailing campaigns and newsletters will contain a link to ‘unsubscribe’ in the footer

Please be aware that by unsubscribing, your email address will then be stored securely on our ‘unsubscribe’ list. Your email address will be stored in this unsubscribe list so that we do not recontact you.

We use cookies to track your activity on our website. This helps us to improve our website layouts and ensure that our website is structured in the most user friendly way possible.

Our website is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16 years. We will not knowingly collect any information relating to any person below the age of 16 years. 

Sharing Your Personal Data

Who We Share Your Data With & Why:

We use third party companies for some processes on our website, including the processing of payments such as PayPal and the fulfilment of shipment for your order such as DPD. 

We may contract with other services to complete services such as shipping, payment processing, we provide these companies with only the information that they need to perform their services. They are prohibited to using your information for anything other than the direct service that they are contracted by us to perform. For instance, our shipping providers will only use the information that allows them to deliver your parcel or contact you with any updates or issues only specifically related to your delivery.

As part of the new GDPR legislations we have requested that the third party providers that we work with, sign new ‘Third Party Provider Agreements’ that outline the terms of our GDPR updates and ask them to acknowledge their compliance with the new GDPR data protection legislation. This includes; Shopify, PayPal, DPD, RTD and Mail Chimp.

We also work with third party apps, these app companies are connected to the Shopify platform. This includes an app that manages and prints order invoices. The third party apps have their own privacy policies. Amack Group Ltd is responsible for reviewing the apps and ensuring that they are compliant with GDPR. To ensure that they are compliant, we have requested that these App providers demonstrate how they are compliant with the new GDPR legislations.

Amack Group Ltd owns Boom Boom the Label and AYM. Up until July 2018, if you are signed up to receive marketing information relating to Boom Boom the Label, you will automatically receive marketing material relating to AYM. This is because AYM will soon be replacing the Boom Boom the Label name. ‘AYM’ is the new name that is replacing ‘Boom Boom the Label’ brand.   

We may share your information with other Amack Group brands to perform internal services and to review current business activities, such as working towards offering a better shipping service option. 

We may transfer your personal data to third party data processors located in countries that are outside of the European Economic Area and to other Amack Group Ltd owned brands or companies in connection with the above purposes. Any such transfer of your personal data will be carried out in compliance with applicable laws and we will treat the information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Amack Group Ltd also own the Silhou brand. Following the email sent to our mailing list on XXXXX we will not be contacting you regarding Silhou or other Amack Group brands unless you have agreed for us to do so.

We will not be passing your information to any other parties for their own marketing purposes, unless you have agreed for us to do so.

As we work to develop increased value, we may from time to time include third party links on our Website. Any links relating to Third Party companies have separate and independent Privacy Policies. We insist that you review those policies when you are visiting third party sites. This Privacy Policy relates only to our Website and does not cover any other website. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activity of these linked sites.

How long we hold the information:

We will be performing regular audits on your information. We will hold your personal information for a maximum of 3 years following your last order. Your information will be stored on our secure Shopify platform and at the 3 year mark it will be destroyed by …. X
